The Jesus MeetUp

 "The Cross: True Meaning"

The Jesus MeetUp                              The Cross: True Meaning                          Week #10

We have been told many things:

Jesus died to save us. His blood paid for my sins. Jesus became and took on my sin. God required His own Son’s blood to forgive us our sins. His blood washes away my sins.

All completely ridiculous!

When did Jesus ever say anything like this? He did not. Jesus never taught that His Father needed His death/blood to accept you, love you or forgive you? [Think - when He healed the boy or the woman caught in adultery] Then who did teach these falsehoods regarding our Father? Paul did! Paul made it all up! He used Jesus to create his own invented personal religion [Christianity] which included the atonement doctrine = old, archaic and long-standing Judaic-sacrifice ideology. Jesus ALWAYS said that it is our FAITH that heals us or helps us to find forgiveness with God.

Then what was Jesus doing before and during the crucifixion?

Jesus knew in advance:

He had taught everything we needed to know to everyone He met = Find God and KNOW God.

He needed to go on and rule His universe in sovereignty. He couldn’t stay here forever.

He knew that most of us would face hardships, pain, suffering and quite possibly murder at the hands of our local and world religious leaders. [Luciferic/Satanic rulers of this world. Think, pandemic, poisons, false flag wars etc...everything we are seeing today]

He knew that we would be afraid.

He needed to experience all that we might experience as His children.

He wanted to show us how to face hardships and even death without fear.

He wanted to show God, and all others in His universe, what we could become.

He wanted to role model for us the ultimate path to forgiveness = forgiving even those who would hurt and murder us.

He wanted to present a new revelation of man to God.

Let us break this all down for a fuller understanding of our amazing Master Creator, Son of God!

Jesus knew:

He had taught everything we needed to know to everyone He met = Find God and KNOW God.

193:0.3 "And now you should give ear to my words lest you again make the mistake of hearing my teaching with the mind while in your hearts you fail to comprehend the meaning. From the beginning of my sojourn as one of you, I taught you that my one purpose was to reveal my Father in heaven to his children on earth. I have lived the God-revealing bestowal that you might experience the God-knowing career. I have revealed God as your Father in heaven; I have revealed you as the sons of God on earth. It is a fact that God loves you, his sons. By faith in my word this fact becomes an eternal and living truth in your hearts. When, by living faith, you become divinely God-conscious, you are then born of the spirit as children of light and life, even the eternal life wherewith you shall ascend the universe of universes and attain the experience of finding God the Father on Paradise."

He needed to go on and rule His universe. He couldn’t stay here forever.

165:2.9 "But I have many other sheep not of this fold, and these words are true not only of this world.”

He knew that most of us would face hardships, pain, suffering and quite possibly murder at the hands of our local and world/religious leaders. [Luciferian/Satanic rulers of this world. Think, pandemic, poisons, false flag wars etc...everything we are seeing today in 2022]

He knew that we would be afraid.

190:5.4 That such a Deliverer shall be as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. That he will feed the flock like a true shepherd, gathering the lambs in his arms and tenderly carrying them in his bosom. That he will open the eyes of the spiritually blind and bring the prisoners of despair out into full liberty and light; that all who sit in darkness shall see the great light of eternal salvation. That he will bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives of sin, and open up the prison to those who are enslaved by fear and bound by evil. That he will comfort those who mourn and bestow upon them the joy of salvation in the place of sorrow and heaviness.

He wanted to experience all that we might experience. This included the full breadth of suffering.

120:0.4 Jesus, therefore, had a double purpose in the making of these seven bestowals upon the various orders of his universe creatures: First, he [Jesus] was completing the required experience in creature understanding which is demanded of all Creator Sons before they assume complete sovereignty [of their universes].

He wanted to show us how to face hardships, and even death without fear.

196:0.11 He depended on the heavenly Father as a child leans upon its earthly parent, and his fervent faith never for one moment doubted the certainty of the heavenly Father's over-care. He was not disturbed seriously by fears, doubts, and skepticism. Unbelief did not inhibit the free and original expression of his life. He combined the stalwart and intelligent courage of a full-grown man with the sincere and trusting optimism of a believing child. His faith grew to such heights of trust that it was devoid of fear.

He wanted to role model for us the ultimate path to forgiveness = forgiving even those who

would murder us.

187:2.4 Before Jesus was put on his cross, the two brigands had already been placed on their crosses, all the while cursing and spitting upon their executioners. Jesus' only words, as they nailed him to the crossbeam, were, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." He could not have so mercifully and lovingly interceded for his executioners if such thoughts of affectionate devotion had not been the mainspring of all his life of unselfish service. The ideas, motives, and longings of a lifetime are openly revealed in a crisis.

He wanted to present a new revelation of man to God, and all other universe beings.

186:5.6 The Father in heaven loved mortal man on earth just as much before the life and death of Jesus on Urantia as he did after this transcendent exhibition of the copartnership of man and God. This mighty transaction of the incarnation of the God of Nebadon as a man on Urantia could not augment the attributes of the eternal, infinite, and universal Father, but it did enrich and enlighten all other administrators and creatures of the universe of Nebadon. While the Father in heaven loves us no more because of this bestowal of Michael, all other celestial intelligencess do. And this is because Jesus not only made a revelation of God to man, but he also likewise made a new revelation of man to the Gods and to the celestial intelligence s of the universe of universes.

Jesus knew full well that His group [Peter in particular] would not present His true gospel message to the world [God dwells within you] and they would supplant it with His resurrection. He also knew that Paul would come along inventing his own personal religion and use Jesus’ own name associated with it. He also knew that one day all this would be cleared up with our 5th Epochal Revelation called The Urantia Book. He knew we would be sitting here today talking all of these important truth-issues over in love and real enlightenment.

To loving Jesus enough to share what He really did for us to everyone in our sphere of influence.

He is worth it! ~ Marin DeJohn

Questions:

1. How will this new revelation of why Jesus went to the cross affect your level of fear in your life?

2. Why is it important to know why He really gave His life in this way and for these reasons?

3. How does this change your perception of your loving Paradise Father knowing that He needs no one’s blood in order to forgive anyone for their mistakes?

Now is a good time for us to say The Lord’s Prayer together. Turn these sheets back in to your leader. Feel free to write a prayer request and give it to your leader.
